Nashville Tudor

This Tudor house has a special place in my heart because it is located in my hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. The English-style home with its clinker brickwork and terracotta tile roof is built in Belle Meade, one of the city's best neighborhoods.

The goal of the design was to create a house that blended in with the other historic homes on the street and to enhance the architecture of a street already known for its fine houses.

"We had fun on the project", Baker remarks, "because the owners were committed to using all the right materials and finishes."

"The builder took the time to get the details right and it shows. Whether it is the carved wood staircase, the Gothic arches, or the linen fold panels in the front door, every detail was properly executed."
